John Hopkins recently released an album, "Immunity", and one of the tracks on there is just sublime. It's called Abandon Window:

I advise you to plug in a set of high quality headphones and turn up the volume to fully appreciate it. There is some masterful sound design and production going on in there. He manipulates the bits of reverb so well, it makes me rather jealous. I suspect there's also a good deal of field recording embedded in the noise that builds up throughout.
