Those are actually not allowed, as they fall under "duplo music". If a new artist submits it, they're normally banned.
lol, the audio portal seems to mirroring the flash porta when it was at it's worst.
ie, uninspired video game parodies, and sprite movies/hentai galleries.
Exactly!
wait what you can't submit other peoples music?
nooooooo
OH SHIT SON
Yeah can we get some more acoustic music up in this place? As in live recordings of sounds and not synthesizing every thing.
I do like me some acoustic music, but a lot of interesting stuff can be achieved using (soft)synths nowadays, so no hate for purely synthesized stuff from me. (I guess mostly because that's all I've been making, lol)
In the past years I was submitting "Duplo music".
I didn't read anything that stated that this kind of music was not allowed to be uploaded.
But anyway, I stopped submitting this kind of music because it sucked. The pre-made loops didn't give you the opportunity to create a track really the way you want.
You're right what regards this.
Original songs are way better and give you that feeling of creative satisfaction.
I'm glad you've come to that realization. :)
I'm with FuNaNdMoRe with "Duplo music", butI got this message from a friend of mine:
"The GarageBand software license agreement says:
"GarageBand Software. You may use the Apple and third party audio loop content (Audio Content), contained in or otherwise included with the Apple Software, on a royalty-free basis, to create your own original music compositions or audio projects. You may broadcast and/or distribute your own music compositions or audio projects that were created using the Audio Content, however, individual audio loops may not be commercially or otherwise distributed on a standalone basis, nor may they be repackaged in whole or in part as audio samples, sound effects or music beds."
So don't worry, you can make commercial music with GarageBand, you just can't distribute the loops as loops. "
See what SBB said. ;)
The rules on NG are in place to promote as much originality as possible, and I'm a huge supporter of that.
Just because something is legal it does not mean it's allowed on Newgrounds hacsev. Besides, the only thing that'll get you banned is music that is only a collection of such loops.
Exactly, I've approved enough GB songs that contained loops as well as original recording to confirm that. :)

Think of it as being a musical version of your post. I just got randomly inspired, and thought it might be appropriate.
That actually gave me a good laugh! Nice stuff! :)
Electronic sounds need to DIE, in here, real life, and everywhere else.
Eh, that's quite a big thing to say. Electronic music is quite broad, and frankly, I disagree.
There are far more kinds of electronic music than the thirteen in a dozen FL preset techno/trance things you find in the AP. If you explore it enough, you might even find something you actually like.
OR WHAT.
OR I'LL BAN YOUR ASS IF YOU'RE A FIRST TIME SUBMITTER.
Durp. Although I can't really ban legitimate VG covers, lol.
You've made that newspost as if the very people who can't read what's under their noses when posting their first submission will actually read this :3.
I realized that before even writing it. :p
Think of it as a way to just vent frustration, and allow people to comment with their opinions.
It takes a while (years) to build character and express creativity. Chances are NG is filled with novice artists beginning to explore FL Studio. If someone wants to make music, then that right there entails that they already have the desire to be poetic and original from the get-go. I don't think any (most) of them open up the program thinking "I WANT TO SOUND EXACTLY LIKE DJ THUNDERSTORM COBALT BULLET" otherwise they just would submit plagiarized songs or nothing at all.
I think of VG covers as trying to learn acoustic songs in real life. Everybody sucks at first at emulating and interpreting the works of others. Of course it may sound uninspired. But beginners shouldn't be denied the ability to submit their music to NG and have the opportunity to receive the necessary feedback. Newgrounds is everything by everybody, and the majority (including myself) of content sucks, to put it bluntly. As we both know, there's lots of good music, animations, and games on this site. But I've always viewed this site as a ground (ehehehe pun intended) to give and receive comments; not a place that strictly focuses on entertainment.
There could be a blam system, but there's not enough users or listeners for that. The audio submission page could be waaaayyyy more detailed or maybe it already is. I haven't looked there in years. Is your version of the audio portal still alive?
LewToons
the audio portal is overflowing with wanna-be techo artists.....word to the audio submitters :
try some strings!, some horns!, some vocals! - - i guarantee you, you will not make it with four chord techno songs...its too trite. newgrounds flash animators will want songs that are more epic, more dramatic and more dynamic - - it suits the work better - -i cant speak for all ngs artists but im pretty damn sure they will agree (trance and house doesnt suit many ngs toons. imo) if you are making music not for ngs toons...i think the same stuff i just said still applies haha...
Mich
For NG toons that's definitely true, most regular "listening" electronic music doesn't really suit a lot of movies.
The key idea is that people should put more effort in being original, in the end.
