[PIC] Minimalism

Posted by Mich - December 26th, 2013

Here's one I took recently. Turned out pretty well, I think.

Happy holidays!

Wow! The full size image is even more minimalist!

In all seriousness, that's pretty damn sweet :3.

Welp, looks like that needs fixing.

EDIT: FIXED

n1 step u pwnd 'im jejejejejejejjeje
Anyway, where did you took this one?

This was taken near the Canvey Island seafront, Essex, England.

And he pwnd me good.

Looks like a motivational poster....like...

Reach For the Sky!
Even if you fall short, you'll still be above where you started.

Heh yeah, since it slopes up. Whee!

that parallax

Indeed.

Plains, skies...
some out of place ugly as hell tree messing everything up

You're in luck, I took an even more minimal picture at the same location minutes before: http://i.imgur.com/Esu0LLq.jpg

Now that's what I'd call minimalism.
Or purism... hmm.... *rubs* *realizes that doesn't know shit about what minimalism or purism are*
Nice photos! You have a talent. I wish I didn't try to fall on knees every time I have a camera in hands and try to photograph everything from below. And people too. They start thinking I'm some kind of a madman, and photos turn out too unusual.

Hey, at least you're not laying flat on muddy ground!

I'd call it minimalism, as there's a minimal amount of objects in the photo. Thanks for the compliments.

Also, if it helps, I think people would think you're more of a madman if you'd take a ladder with you everywhere and you'd climb it every time you wanted to snap a photo, from a bird's eye view. That said, it's a good thing to experiment with perspectives other than eye level, as everyone already sees their surroundings from there. Show some things in ways people aren't used to seeing them.

needs more skyscrapers and smog imo.

I do have some airplane contrails in there! Out of view is a bunch of ugly industrialization beyond a chunk of North Sea, if it makes you feel any better.
